I have managed to get the baby’s room completely ready, but I wouldn’t necessarily say I’ve been nesting too much. There have been others, however, that are in nesting mode. Last week Tristan and Karlie (with a little help from Reese) cut off all the tags on the new clothes, washed them, and hung them back neatly in the closet and in size order. Tristan also got the diaper bag out and packed it with the necessities. How lucky am I to have such good helpers? They cannot wait to meet their baby brother!

29 Weeks

Well, here’s another comparison photo. It’s weird that my belly doesn’t really look any bigger 6 weeks later, but it does seem to be a different shape.

We had a 29 week ultrasound last week, and there is no denying that this baby is a boy!

Everything still checked out good! He weighed in at 3.6 pounds. I’m in my 3rd trimester, and I’m having appointments every 2 weeks now. Hopefully these last 10 weeks go by really fast!

24 weeks

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain? 14 lbs
Maternity clothes? Not really, thanks to the bella band and big shirts. I wear leggings a lot, too.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Not too bad.
Best moment this week: I have been feeling MUCH more kicking lately.
Miss anything: Sushi, beer, you know…
Movement: Yes. Very active.
Food cravings: Anything salty
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: Boy
Labor signs: No major signs…it’s way too early for that. I have had some braxton hicks contractions. I have been doing a TON around the house to get ready. We painted Reese’s room, we painted the kids bathroom aqua marine and I got it decorated in a beach theme. Next up is the baby’s room.
Symptoms: Growing belly
Belly button in or out? It’s still in a little…almost flat.
Wedding rings on or off? On. Never had to take them off during Reese’s pregnancy either.
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!
Looking forward to: Meeting my baby boy!

23 weeks

Here is my 23 week shot in comparison to my 19 week shot. Baby “P” is definitely growing! Oh, yeah…we officially picked a name that I adore!

All of the girls continue to be VERY excited about their new brother. Tristan likes to think about and ask things like..”I wonder what the baby will look like when he’s older? I wonder what color his eyes will be.” And she is really happy that daddy will finally have someone to do “boy” things with.

Here’s the first picture I’ve taken of my growing belly. This was at 19 1/2 weeks.

I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant (I’ll post another belly picture soon)

We just got home from our annual trip to Missouri for Thanksgiving. We had a great time. All the girls traveled well and it was nice to see everyone, if only for a few days!

We had our first family photos taken (now we’ll have to redo them since there’ll be an addition soon!) Here’s a couple of shots from that. I was very happy with how they turned out!

19 week ultrasound

We got GREAT news at our 19 week appointment. We’re having a BOY! Tim about fell out of his chair when we found out. We are so so excited and haven’t quit smiling since. Everything else checked out good during the anatomy ultrasound. Here’s a picture of our little guy! I think he looks like his daddy.

14 weeks

I had my second doctor appointment on Sept. 30th. I was 14 weeks and 1 day. I got to hear the heartbeat that was 140 bpm. That’s much slower than Reese’s ever was. The baby also had the hiccups! At first the doctor thought it was just kicking, but when it happened consistently over and over, she said it was hiccups. The baby must have lungs and a diaphragm

Reese still continues to call the baby her baby sister and only refers to it as a girl. Tristan can’t wait to find out if it’s a boy or a girl and is always making name lists.

I feel really good. Doesn’t feel or really look like I’m pregnant yet. My next appointment is in 4 weeks (at 18 weeks) and our big ultrasound will be scheduled at 19 weeks. Can’t wait!!

We’re expecting little girl number 4!! Actually, we don’t know the sex yet, but I’m just assuming, with Tim’s track record, that it’s going to be another girl! I’m gonna start blogging again so I won’t forget this important time in our lives! Today I am 11 weeks and 1 day. My due date is March 29, oddly enough, one of my best friends, Tiffany, is expecting on the same exact day! So exciting! Here’s a picture from my first appointment at 9 weeks and 1 day.

Getting back to blogging

I can’t even remember the last time I posted a blog. I think the reason I quit is because I feel like I post most of my pictures and information on facebook, and it just seems redundant to put it all on here. Well, I have decided that I don’t care if it’s redundant because I know that later in life it will be neat to have this family blog to look back on and remember all of the things we did. I’ll just pick up where we are right now…August 31st, 2010.

The 2010 school year started yesterday! Karlie started kindergarten at CPS and Tristan started 3rd grade at CES…they had a great first day. Reese is still in daycare at Early Challenges. She recently moved up to the starlights class (24 months – 30 months) and she loves it! It’s going to be a VERY busy and fun year. This is what our weekly schedule looks like:

Monday: Karlie’s gymnastics: 5:30-7
Tuesday: Tristan’s soccer practice: 6-7:30
Wednesday: Karlie’s gymnastics: 5:30-7
Thursday: Tristan’s Dance: 5-6:30
Friday: Karlie’s soccer practice and games
Saturday: Tristan’s soccer games

Yep, we’ve got something every single night!

Switching subjects…here are a few things we did this summer:

Tim and I went to Destin, Florida for Tiffany and Justin’s wedding in May. Mom and dad came out to keep Reese for the week..first time away from my baby, but it went FINE!

We took our 2nd annual Memorial Day trip to Alabama to see my family.

I’ve realized that we did a LOT over the summer and this post is going to get way too long… I’ll do a separate summer post next.

Karlie’s First Gymnastics Meet

Karlie got to participate in her first gymnastics meet a couple of weeks ago (The Rockstart Invitational). We got there at 1pm in the afternoon for her to warm up. Her class was scheduled to do their floor routine at 2pm. The snow had caused a change in location and some delays, so the whole event was running way behind schedule. At 2pm we were still waiting. At 3pm we were still waiting. At 3:30pm we were still waiting. Reese was there, and she was being unbelievably cooperative, thank goodness! At 4pm we were still waiting, and I took Reese to the bathroom to change her diaper. When we came out of the bathroom, Karlie’s class was running off the floor. WHAT? DID I JUST MISS IT?!? You have GOT to be kidding me! We waited 3 hours, and Karlie’s 2 minute floor routine happened while I was in the bathroom changing Reese’s diaper. I was pretty disappointed, but luckily Tim took tons of pictures, and I had seen Karlie perform her routine many times at practice. It STILL would have been nice to see the actual performance. I mean, I did just spend 3 HOURS waiting for it! Such is life, I guess. Either way, Karlie was very excited and had a great time (she doesn’t know I missed it!). We were really proud of her.
